The Viswaniketan Community Development Centre, Chalakkara, New Mahe is a Non Governmental Organisation and directly aided Institution of Khadi and Village Industries Commission was started during 1992. This centre is imparting training under various fields for women, in Readymade Garments, Fibre Articles, kitchen gardening, Television servicing, Computer Education, Agarbathy making etc., It has well equipped Hostel facilities for the trainees.
