Mahe has a railway station.  The next nearest railway station is in Thalassery. Many train services reach Calicut (Kozhicode) from various cities of Kerala and Tamilnadu States.

Port:

There is a minor port in mahe, but this is not in use now. The light house located here had been in existence since premerger period.   However, in view of existence of a port in Calicut (Kozhicode), this minor port does not have much importance.
