Chunnambar is located in
Ariyankuppam which is 7 kms from Pondicherry (Pondy) on the way to Cuddalore and 1 Km from
Ariankuppam. As it is located on the Cuddalore main road, all buses going to Cuddalore
will take you to the bus-stop near the main gate.
Chunnambar is unique in
nature as on one end there is a calm backwater and on the other end, a long sea shore
called plage paradiso!.

Water sports
centre -A swimming pool in the midst of the backwater, floats and a swimming
coach are all the there to help you learn swimming. You can also  learn kayaking at the same time. Then
there are motor boats that take you to the mouth of the backwater and the nearby beach.
For those who want to skim over water there are the hydro planes. Boats
are available for hire on all days of the week. Garden umbrellas, chairs and teapoys can
also be hired on nominal rent at the Boat House. You can also go to the place where
the river branches out in a row boat or peddal about and enjoy the scenic beauty,
leisurely!.
The beach at Chunnambar
is located near the mouth of the backwater. The sand is pristine and the water, clean.
It's an ideal place for sun bathing and beach sports. You can borrow valley balls and net
from the water sports centre for an exciting session of beach valleyball. If it gets too
bot you can always borrow beach umbrellas or fishing rods and relax. The idea is to let
you have unlimited, uninhibited fun. |

The three tree top houses
in Chunnambar offer you the bliss of ecotourism. you can either read a novel, paint,
listen to music meditate or even stay overnight, all on the top of a tree! Sunrise
panorama' (a two storey tree top house) gives you an unrestricted view of the backwater up
to its mouth. 'Palm house' on the other hand overlooks the artificial pond and park. 'Nest
brid' is the perfect above for the adventure loving folks, it has a rope ladder
that leads to a small balcony. All in a tree house!
Seagulls the multicuisine
restaurant cum bar is a stone's throw from the  backwater.
It specialises in Chinese and Tandoori food. The restaurant too has a view of the
backwaters. It is an ideal setting for a theme party or an offbeat get-together. It also
serves food in the buts just outside the restaurant You can also order a picnic lunch to
the beach and you shall be served there in style. A floatel - a floating botel is on its
way so that you can have your mid-swim snack without having to go back to the shore.
